The Friends of the Millbury Public Library

The Friends of the Millbury Public Library is a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to enhancing the library's programs and services to all Millbury citizens through volunteering, advocacy and fundraising.
The Friends support the Library directly through services and programs that are not covered by the Library's budget. We are proud to sponsor events for both children and adults, museum passes available to all patrons, and special purchases of equipment, supplies, and holiday decorations.
In past years, the Friends were instrumental in raising capital for the Library's most recent expansion and for supporting the Library's first year membership in the Central/Western Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing (CWMARS) regional consortia.
The Friends host fundraising events throughout the year, but our signature event is the Book and Bake Sale held in spring and fall. During the town's Chain-of-Lights holiday festival the Friends hold a Children's book sale. Recently, the Freinds started a new tradition of hosting an spring fundraising event. The most recent spring event was a very successful and exciting Cinco de Mayo celebration. Other events have included plant sales, wine tasting, raffle baskets, parade concesssions, guest lectures and holiday house tours.
We warmly welcome new members who are looking to interact with our community and have fresh ideas to make our library great. Join us to meet new people and have fun while supporting activities that enhance our town and Library.
